Information about Green Tea:

Dosage- Asians typically drink three to five cups of green tea each day, and much of the research detailing tea’s health benefits are based on the same amount. Three to five cups per day contains 240 to 400 g polyphenols.

Safety- Thousands of years of use confirms the safety of green tea. However, green tea does contain caffeine, approximately 25 mg per six ounces. To put this in perspective, six ounces of black tea contains 35 mg of caffeine, and six ounces of brewed coffee contain 100 mg. The most common side effects reported from drinking green tea are those associated with caffeine consumption—insomnia, anxiety, and increased heart rate—and generally occur after drinking several cups of green tea a day.

Final thoughts- Considering its promising health benefits, Green Tea is an excellent alternative to the traditional cup of coffee or black tea. Green tea can be served hot or iced. Several flavors are available, including honey, lemon, and mint. A steaming cup of green tea does more than warm you up.
